Little Thakeham Farm

Little Thakeham Farm is a beautiful snug estate near Thakeham, West Sussex. Comprising of 220 acres of fields, meadows and woodland. Whilst some areas of the farm are used for active arable and livestock farming. The majority of the farm is left tended in a more natural state. 

This means that we have a large number of spaces which are available to hire. This provides a blank canvas for your event in a wonderful countryside setting. 

Our rural spaces are suitable to hire for outdoor functions. Such as

• Corporate events including Team Building
• Exclusive Social Events
• Small weddings
• Yoga/wellness retreats
• Woodland themed parties
• Film & TV locations
• Family events or parties
• Small countryside festivals or events

Overnight camping is also available, but our maximum is 150.

Winding streams, and woodland. Rich meadows and fields. Wild flowers and beautiful views. Little Thakeham Farm is truly beautiful, and provides a huge number of opportunities for events and other recreational activities. 

Facilities

To maintain the off grid experience, facilities have been kept to a minimum. This means that some of the fields and meadows are not serviced by electricity, water, or toilets. And this in turn provides a true blank canvas for your event. It also means ultimate flexibility, and a true wild experience for your guests, and your event.

Little Thakeham Farm has a rich and colourful history and we also have three countryside organisations based here.  

Camping

A real back to basics camping experience with good walking opportunities. Because you will love the rural and simple nature of our camping field. We have portable toilets, running potable water, taps and logs which are sold for campfires. But otherwise we are very laid back, and the fun comes from revelling in the open space provided.

Our Bark Park – dog exercise field

New for 2022, is our Bark Park. Which is a fully enclosed three acre paddock. Specially designed for owners and dogs to exercise safety, securely, and in a superb rural setting.

It’s available all the way from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week, with all bookings being managed online.

Just a short walk from the cafe at Thakeham Village Hall. Your hire includes exclusive use of the bark park. This means it’s a brilliant way for you to comfortably take your four legged friends off lead. Therefore is especially suitable for nervous dogs or for training purposes.

Digital Detox Cabins

Provided by our good friends at Unplugged, we also have digital detox facilities at Little Thakeham Farm.

We have built two cabins, Gruff and Basil. Which are both are fantastic places to get away from it all. Here you can reconnect with nature.

It is all about locking your mobile phones away, and turning off the internet. But spending time in the great outdoors.

The cabins come with,

• Queen sized bed
• Kitchen with fridge and freezer
• Shower
• Eco toilet

So are perfect to snuggle down in, and recharge, refresh, and reconnect.

Location

The farm is 220 acres and is accessible in many different ways. It’s a five minute drive from Storrington, and is nestled between the A24 and A283. Thirty minutes north of Worthing, the coast is very accessible too. We’re also incredibly close to the South Downs National Park, which means it’s an idea venue for walkers and cyclists.
