Spindle Bush Camp

Spindle Bush Camp is an African inspired oasis in the Garden of England.

The inspiration to build a little piece of Africa on our farm came from our trips to Africa as a couple. My wife was born in Zimbabwe so being away from home for her was always difficult. We both missed the African way of life so we started to build something of our own here in Kent. Initially we wanted to make something for us and our friends to enjoy during the summer months, we soon realised that there was something truly special and unique about this space so we felt that it could be enjoyed by others too.

We have created a secluded, tranquil, unique, and beautiful space in the heart of the Kent countryside.

We started our journey in 2021 building an off grid and fully sustainable luxury Glamping and Event site! There has been considerable love and thought gone into every aspect of our creation. From the landscaping, orientation of the safari tents, the planting of grasses and African style plants. Spindle Bush Camp continues to evolve with additions and alterations along the way. We hope that you will appreciate the attention to detail upon your visit to this truly magical site nestled among the green fields of Kent.

Sundowners

Some of the most memorable and special moments of our time in Africa with friends and family, is coming together at the end of the day. With a drink in hand watching the sun go down so at the very heart of this project was to capture that magic. All the social areas, safari tents, fire pit and areas to be utilised for any social gatherings have been carefully orientated towards the setting sun with the sun going down in the most perfect gap between the green trees.

Events at Spindle Bush Camp

This outdoor space is ideal for that unique special day, such as

• Small private weddings
• Yoga retreats
• Wellness clinics

We aim to keep the tranquillity and quiet nature of this area so festivals or particularly noisy gatherings are probably not in keeping with our vibe.

Facilities at Spindle Bush Camp

A unique and luxurious loo and shower block, crafted from local woodland timber. Large level grassed area for your event, wedding marquee, Yurts, bell tents or activities. Parking area near the site for approximately 30 cars (over flow parking is available on request). Solar lights guide you to all areas, car park and pathways. Mains water available.

New for 2025:- Two large fully furnished Safari tents, with their own private kitchen, loo and shower with Power from the solar. Private balcony over looks pond and setting sun.

Just outside the village of Marden Kent.

Five minutes by car from Marden mainline railway station.

Local Attractions

In the Heart of the Kent countryside.

A 10 minute walk to Herbert Hall Winery.

Balfour Winery, Bedgebury Forest, various National trust sites and an array of local Kent pubs to sample the local beers. The area is also blessed with many footpaths for exploring the local countryside.
