Tucked away in a surprisingly quiet corner of Hertfordshire. But with excellent access to the A1 and M1 is Ramridge farm. Very much a working family farm growing crops as well as having pedigree Hereford cattle, and a small flock of sheep plus a few horses. We have a little woodland paradise we’re offering to people from March to August.
Set in rolling countryside there’s a huge diversity of landscapes on this patch of ground, including woodlands, grassland and arable crops. With our real pride and joy being our wildflower areas which are in their prime and teeming with wildlife, particularly late spring and early summer.
In the wood there’s an area set aside for people to stay. With a picturesque outlook over the wildflowers there’s a seating area to enjoy yourselves surrounded by birdlife. It’s common to see or hear over twn species in a five minute window. Lovely old hornbeam trees provide dappled light and some shade or shelter under which to stay for the night, and enjoy a bbq as the sun goes down.
Down some rustic stairs we have a Scandinavian bbq hut guests are welcome to use. It provides a great outlook over a grassy area which is a great spot to enjoy some games of an evening. Or enjoy watching some horses using our cross country course.
There’s always the sights of the day to day workings of the farm to take in too. And a small village pub is a mile away via footpaths, with the village of Kimpton being a mile in the opposite direction with a shop and another pub.
There’s mains running water and a flushing toilet in yhe wood. A hardstanding car park is 100 metres away offering easy access for any weather conditions.
We envisage this site being perfect for camping or glamping and ideal for small to medium outdoor events. And as a filming location.
