East Sussex National

East Sussex National is set in 1100 acres of lush East Sussex Countryside in Uckfield. But only 14 miles from Brighton and Royal Tunbridge Wells. We offer the perfect outside space for any event. We are a 104-bedroom hotel with 2 championship golf courses, spa, and conference facilities. But it’s the outside space that really gives you a sense of excitement and freedom. All with proximity to the hotel, along with complimentary car parking.

Outdoor Space at East Sussex National

We cater for all types of events here at ESN. Our lower meadow is a two-acre plot adjacent to the golf course. Separated by a stream which is perfect for mini festivals, corporate away days, and activities. We have previously hosted shooting, duck herding, archery, spear throwing, it’s a knockout and much more. We also have our large helipad and surrounding woods close to the hotel.  

If you are looking for survival or combat days, then at East Sussex National our bluebell woods are perfect space to host this type of event. We also have extra woodland surrounding the property. With natural open spaces where we can host outdoor conferences, private events, or weddings. Either natural or under a tipi, marquee or yurts. If back to nature or foraging is your thing, we have plenty of walking spaces with unusual edible plants and berries on the land. Which is an amazing way to discover the many ways of survival in the open.

Local attractions

Despite being situated in the countryside just outside Uckfield, East Sussex National is near to the bustling city of Brighton. With all the fun of an historic seaside town with great cultural areas and bars and restaurants. Royal Tunbridge wells is just 14 miles in the other direction. And on our doorstep is Glyndebourne Opera house and the Bluebell railway.

The seaside towns of Eastbourne and Hastings are also not too far away. Travel is easy by car around 90 minutes from London. And we have good train links into Uckfield and Lewes followed by a short cab ride.
